Stop the Trump Administration from Threatening our Public Lands and Imperiled Wildlife — Take Action!

Right now the Trump administration is attempting to gut protections for the greater sage-grouse, along with hundreds of other wildlife species like elk, mule deer, and golden eagles, and the public lands they depend on. The colorful sage-grouse once roamed the “sage brush sea” from Alberta, Canada to northern Arizona. But decades of development and other threats have cut its habitat in half, and its numbers have dwindled from 16 million to a mere 400,000.

Trump's goal: to open sage-grouse habitat across the West up for even more rampant oil and gas drilling.

We can't let the Trump administration threaten the survival of this iconic bird and millions of acres of already-fragile sagebrush habitat in pursuit of more climate-busting fossil fuels and fossil fuel industry profits.

This is just one example of how the administration is relentlessly pushing their pro-polluter agenda. Since only the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, while people have been struggling terribly with the worst public health and economic crisis we have seen, the administration has offered up more than 200,000 acres of our public land to the oil and gas industry.

Help us fight back. Tell Secretary Bernhardt and Bureau of Land Management State Directors to stop their fossil fuel rampage on our beloved public lands — and to protect the greater sage-grouse. Please submit your public comment before the May 21 deadline.
