Stop Trump's Push to Throw Out Environmental Reviews While Nation is in Crisis

Keystone XL... Pebble Mine... Fracking near Chaco Culture National Historical Park... Uranium mining in the Grand Canyon...

These are just a few of the dangerous and polluting projects that the Trump administration could ram through with no notice or environmental review under Trump’s sweeping executive order.

Under Trump’s order, polluters can bypass key provisions of bedrock environmental laws like the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Water Act — putting our communities, clean air and water, wildlife, public lands, and public health at risk.

Trump claims that cutting environmental protections will speed up economic recovery in response to the COVID-19 and economic crises. But we know the truth: Trump is using the thoroughly debunked promise of economic recovery as a smokescreen to push through projects for his pals in the oil and gas industry without public input.

And the communities already suffering the most from the national emergencies at hand — primarily communities of color — will be disproportionately affected by the impacts of Trump’s unprecedented order.

Please submit an urgent letter of opposition to the White House right away. Let Trump know that you see straight through his pro-polluter scheme and urge him to reverse course at once.
