The California State Legislature is considering a landmark bill that would set a goal of conserving at least thirty percent of California’s lands and waters by 2030.
AB 3030 would help protect biodiversity, safeguard clean air, water, and our food supply, save endangered species and other imperiled wildlife, increase climate resilience and fight climate change, protect us from disease, and improve much-needed access to nature for communities of color and economically disadvantaged communities.
California is already a leader in protecting biodiversity. But our state has lost more than one million acres of nature to development over the last two decades.
AB 3030 has already passed the California State Assembly, but we must generate a massive amount of support for it to ensure that it's passed by the State Senate and is signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom.
Tell your California state senator to act to protect our lands, waters, and ocean ecosystems!
