Save National Forests from Devastating Oil and Gas Drilling

A new Trump administration rule could devastate large areas of federally managed forests by opening them to new oil and gas drilling.

When we lose forests, we not only lose sources of clean water and clean air for local communities, vital habitat for countless wildlife species, and important natural places for people to recharge, we lose one of the most critical tools for fighting climate change. Forests are powerhouses for carbon sequestration, absorbing as much as 30 percent of the world’s carbon emissions.
