Tell Cantor Fitzgerald: Stop Raising Funds for the Pebble Mine Project

Cantor Fitzgerald is leading a group of banks in raising potentially hundreds of millions of dollars for the small Canadian company Northern Dynasty Minerals to advance the disastrous Pebble Mine project that threatens Alaska’s Bristol Bay.

If fully developed, this proposed open-pit, gold and copper mega-mine would produce 10 billion tons of mining waste that would poison the pristine rivers, streams, and wildlands of Bristol Bay, harming the area’s Indigenous communities, ecosystems, wildlife, and multi-billion-dollar commercial fishing industry.

Salmon is essential for the Yup’ik, Dena’ina, and Alutiiq Tribes of Bristol Bay. They have been sustained for generations by the Bay’s world-renowned salmon fishery, and the Pebble Mine threatens their entire way of life.
