Help Protect California’s Beloved Natural Places!

California is a biodiversity hotspot with an exceptional concentration of native species. But in California — as well as around the world — we are facing the devastating impacts of the climate crisis, a mass extinction of plants and animals, and a degradation of natural places that protect biodiversity and our health.

To help address these overlapping crises, Governor Newsom has set a goal of conserving at least 30 percent of California’s lands and waters by 2030.

And now his administration is in the process of planning for how the state is going to meet this critical “30x30” conservation goal — and they want to hear from Californians across the state!

Help prevent mass wildlife extinctions, fight climate change, and ensure that ALL Californians — no matter their economic status, race, or ethnicity — have access to the natural world. Submit your public comment to help protect California’s lands, waters, and ocean ecosystems!
