The Big Cypress National Preserve in the Florida Everglades is home to the critically endangered Florida panther, vital to Indigenous communities, and critical to fighting climate change. Tell Interior Secretary Deb Haaland to act immediately to reject Burnett Oil’s plan to drill for more climate-destroying oil in this one-of-a-kind ecosystem.

The Big Cypress National Preserve in the Florida Everglades is home to the endangered Florida panther, vital to Indigenous communities, and critical in the fight against climate change.

But the Burnett Oil Company is forging ahead with a plan to rip up this irreplaceable wildland in search of climate-destroying oil. Before that, they must secure permits from the National Park Service to access the preserve – and it’s critical that Interior Secretary Deb Haaland direct that agency to reject Burnett Oil’s plans and move us away from dirty fossil fuels and toward a clean energy future.

Send your letter now to Secretary Haaland asking her to reject Burnett Oil’s plan to drill for oil in Big Cypress.
