While in office, President Trump and his Interior Department authorized oil and gas leasing in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for the first time in history — an egregious intrusion into wildlands of critical importance to the Gwich’in and the Indigenous communities that stand with them and a shameless attack on our climate, wildlands, and threatened Arctic wildlife.

President Biden’s Interior Department has launched a formal review of Trump’s decision to allow destructive oil and gas leasing in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

More drilling in the Arctic — where temperatures are already rising at three times the rate of the rest of the planet — will only keep the U.S. shackled to dirty fossil fuels and exacerbate an already dire climate crisis.

We must keep the pressure on the Biden administration to reverse Trump’s oil and gas leasing program in the Arctic Refuge and do everything they can to protect these pristine wildlands.

Help us keep the pressure on: Submit a public comment before the 10/4 deadline telling Biden’s Interior Department why they need to do everything they can to protect these pristine wildlands.
