Stop Offshore Drilling in the Arctic’s Beaufort Sea

The Trump administration has taken the first steps to allow offshore drilling in the Arctic’s Beaufort Sea — a region where just one oil spill could devastate the coastline of the Arctic Refuge, blanketing it with a deadly slick of toxic crude that will ooze for decades to come, and where there is no proven way to clean up a spill.

Arctic waters are rich feeding grounds that are essential for millions of animals, including walrus, polar bears, sea birds, belugas, and ice seals. The Beaufort Sea’s coast in particular is the number one land denning site for female polar bears in the U.S. Arctic. An oil spill in this wildlife haven would be devastating.

Send a message to Secretary Ryan Zinke and President Trump calling on them to keep the Beaufort Sea permanently off-limits to Big Oil & Gas.
