Oppose Oil Drilling in the Arctic’s Beaufort Sea

President Trump’s Interior Department is moving ahead with its plan to drill for oil in the Arctic’s Beaufort Sea — where just one oil spill could devastate the coastline of the Arctic Refuge, blanketing it with a deadly slick of oozing toxic crude that would be functionally impossible to clean up.

Arctic waters are rich feeding grounds for millions of animals, including walrus, polar bears, sea birds, belugas, ice seals, and countless other threatened or endangered species. And the Beaufort Sea’s coast is the top denning site for female polar bears in the U.S. Arctic. An oil spill in the Beaufort Sea would be devastating.

Tell Acting Interior Secretary David Bernhardt to keep the Beaufort Sea permanently off-limits to Big Oil & Gas.

President Trump’s Interior Department is pushing to allow offshore drilling in the Arctic’s Beaufort Sea — a region where just one oil spill could devastate the coastline of the Arctic Refuge for decades to come. It’s also part of Trump’s dangerous plan to expose all our coasts and climate to the hazards of offshore drilling. Tell Acting Interior Secretary Bernhardt to keep the Beaufort Sea permanently off-limits to Big Oil & Gas.
