Demand Congress Support Safe and Sufficient Drinking Water for All!

Safe and affordable drinking water is a human right, but nearly 130 million people in the U.S. — disproportionately in communities of color and low-income communities — receive their water from systems that often puts them at increased risk of cancer, infertility, developmental delays, and other health impacts.

The Safe Drinking Water Act should protect us from these threats. But an alarming new report from NRDC shows that when it comes to race, the nation's safe drinking law does not protect everyone equally.

Pollution of drinking water sources, decades of poor oversight, underinvestment in drinking water infrastructure, and segregation and other forms of discrimination, have left communities of color at greater risk.

So we need to demand that Congress act to uphold the Safe Drinking Water Act for everyone. Send a message to Congress: Fix our federal drinking water law and ensure safe drinking water conditions for all.
