Call on the Biden Administration to Take Bold Action For Our Environment

Sign NRDC's petition calling on the Biden-Harris administration to use its crucial first year in office to take key actions to protect the climate, our public health, and our environment. They are off to a promising start, acting to rejoin the Paris climate accord, cancel permits for the Keystone XL pipeline, halt rollbacks to clean car rules, impose a temporary moratorium on drilling on federal lands, and more. But there is much more to do, and no time to waste.

Sign NRDC's petition calling on the Biden-Harris administration to use its crucial first year in office to take key actions to protect the climate, our public health, and our environment. But there is much more to do, and no time to waste.

I join NRDC in urging the Biden-Harris administration to take the following urgent actions in its crucial first year in office:

- Act immediately to combat climate change by acting swiftly to follow through on your goal of devoting 40% of climate investment to frontline communities, protecting the U.S. from power plant pollution, and expanding investments in electric vehicles.

- Stop fossil fuel development by working with Congress to permanently prevent oil and gas drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, off our coasts, and on federal wildlands.

- Defend vulnerable communities and our public health by ensuring that everyone has access to lead-free drinking water and by reversing Trump's rollback of the critical National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), which guarantees people have a voice in community development.

- Stand up for nature, wildlife, and ecosystems by reversing Trump's rollbacks of the Endangered Species Act and moving quickly to implement your goal of protecting at least 30 percent of U.S. land and sea by 2030.
